Minnesotans Tired of Borrowing,
Spending, Bailouts, and Takeovers
Dear Friends,Welcome to my 2010 Kline for Congress website!
Whether it is at tea parties, parades, or town hall meetings, Minnesotans – and men and women across the country – are making it clear they are tired of Washington’s addiction to borrowing and spending and bailouts and takeovers.
Yet on July 21, hundreds of Congressional Democrats gathered at the White House to celebrate the President’s signing of financial regulatory reform, a bill that is nothing more than a permanent bailout of Wall Street that will restrict credit, kill jobs, raise taxes, and further expand government control of the private sector.
I know you have had enough. That is why I continue to work to represent your values of limited government, personal responsibility, and economic freedom.
With about 100 days until the midterm elections, I am pleased to report Kline for Congress is also hard at work. We are committed to replacing the out-of-touch liberals in Congress with conservatives who offer commonsense solutions. My Republican colleagues and I believe we can take back the House, which would be pivotal in slowing down the runaway train of wasteful spending.
While Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid remain in denial, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs expressed what many Washington Democrats are thinking:
“There’s no doubt there are enough seats in play that could cause Republicans to gain control.” (NBC’s Meet the Press, 07/11/10)
“Make no mistake about it: There is a wave out there, and for Democrats, the House is, at best, teetering on the edge.” (Charlie Cook, The Cook Report, Hurricane GOP on the Way, 07/03/10)
“You don’t see numbers like these... If it wasn’t a national election. There is a definite political wave building here, like we saw in 2006 and 2008. Only this time it’s in the Republicans’ direction.” (Stu Rothenberg, NPR All Things Considered, 07/07/10)

It has been a great honor to serve the men and women of Minnesota’s 2nd district, and it is with great humility that I ask for your continued support.
Sincerely,
