Minnesota Farm Bureau endorses John Kline for Congress
Congressman honored for his continuing support of Minnesota’s agriculture and farming community
Burnsville – The Minnesota Farm Bureau Political Action Committee is the latest organization to give its backing to Congressman John Kline’s re-election campaign for his congressional leadership in helping Minnesota farmers, promoting conservation efforts, and preserving our critical habitat.
“The Minnesota Farm Bureau Political Action Committee (MFB PAC) endorsement of Congressman Kline was based on his support of Farm Bureau policy,” said Larry Larson, MFB PAC Chairman. “We look forward to continuing to work with the Congressman on issues important to Farm Bureau.”
Congressman Kline was pleased to support and help override the President’s veto of the Farm Bill that passed last Spring. While it was far from a perfect bill, it included real reforms to address critical needs of our farmers while making investments in agriculture research, conservation programs, and nutrition programs. Congressman Kline will continue to work for real reforms for our farmers, support legislation to end the unreasonable death tax that punishes our family farms, and provide a comprehensive energy policy that addresses the challenges of farmers – and all Minnesotans.
“The agriculture and farming community has played a prominent role in Minnesota’s rich heritage of industry and commerce,” said Congressman Kline, who helps manage a five-generation family farm in southeastern Minnesota. “I recognize the challenges faced by Minnesota farmers, and I am committed to meeting the needs of the individuals and families whose livelihoods are so important to the future of our great state.”
