Yummy French Onion Pork Chops

5-6 pork chops
2 Tablespoons oil
2 Tablespoons butter
1 Package onion soup mix
1-2 Cloves garlic, crushed
1 Cup white wine or chicken broth
1 Cup sour cream

Brown pork chops in hot oil and butter, drain fat. Add garlic and onion soup mix. Cover with broth. Simmer 30-45 minutes until tender. Stir in sour cream, heat through. Serve over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
